Back To Normal
Queen Munchkin here; Bob was still going to the bathroom more than normal last night, but he could eat normal food and when he woke up this morning he appeared to be completely back to normal. I'm going to keep an eye on him today just in case though. |
Hiding My Blanket
We were all so busy taking care of Bob that I forgot to tell you what I did on Monday. Bob took a nap from 4 until 5 in the afternoon, and I laid on my little blanket at the foot of the bed and napped with him. Then when he got up he went to the bathroom and start drinking the yucky stuff again, I grabbed my blanket and brought it into the living room, so I could lay on it behind the couch. Monika came home while he was still in the bathroom and, when she went into the bedroom, she asked him; "Where's Frostin's blanket?" Bob told her I was on it at the foot of the bed when he got up, and then she started looking for it. She looked on both sides of the bed and under the bed and the dresser and she couldn't find it. She even looked in the laundry. Then she started looking for me and when she found me laying on it in the living room she started laughing and then picked me up and gave me cuddles. After she put me down, she picked the blanket up and put it back on the bed. That was OK though because I was looking for a kitty to play with. |

More on Bob
I don't know what kind of medicine Bob had to take yesterday, but I hope I never have to take it. He keeps having to go to the bathroom because of it and one time he had to stay in there for about a nap and a half. He seems to have it out of his system now though. He just went to the bathroom once when he woke up like normal. Queen Munchkin has stopped guarding him too, so I guess she thinks he is OK too. Least wise for now. He still has to go to the VA for his procedure today. I'll let you know how things went tomorrow. |

Taking Care of Bob
Queen Munchkin here; I'm laying on the floor next to Bob chair making sure no one bothers him while he is eating his jello for breakfast. He made up bowls with twice as much jello in them this time, and he is eating it slow to try and keep his belly happy for longer. |

Purr Therapy
Queen Munchkin here; I have to watch over Bob and give him lots of purr therapy for a couple of days. He is having a procedure on Tuesday, and starting today the only thing he can eat is jello and chicken broth. He can also drink lemonade, but that's about it, at least as far as what we have in the house goes. I'll let you know how things are going tomorrow. |

Pouting Princess
Princess Ashlyn here, This morning I saw Monika get up and I asked her for attentions, then after she cuddled me for a while, she brought me to Bob and he gave me snuggles under the covers. I was all nice and content and purring until I heard Monika say; "Hello." to Queen Munchkin. Then I got all nervous and ran away because Queen Munchkin doesn't like me to get attentions from Bob. *pout* |

Nice While It Lasted
Last week the A/C was bad and it made the floor wet in the hallway closet. This was good for us kitties because none of us had ever been in that closet and Bob and Monika had to leave the door open so the floor would dry in there. All of us kitties took turns checking it out and since it had a lot of towels in it one of us (I'll never tell who) pulled one down for us to lay on so we wouldn't be on the damp floor. The floor finally dried yesterday morning and we was glad because we was able to be on the floor in there now, but when Monika came home from work, she felt the floor and said it was time to close the door. *pout* |

Content Queen
Queen Munchkin here; Last night, about half an hour after he went to bed, I climbed up and laid between Bob's legs to go to sleep. I staid there all night, and in the morning when he woke up, Bob spun around on the bed and gave me bunches of pets and cuddles. *smile* |

New Sleeping Spot
I have a new favorite place to sleep at night. I lay on the edge of the bed with my head by Bob's hip and facing the foot of the bed. Then Bob puts his arm around me and gives me pet, or lays his fingers in front of me so that I can give them licks. *smile* |

Lazy Morning
We're all in a lazy mood this morning. Everyone but Bob has picked a comfortable spot and is contemplating taking a nap already. Bob and I just finished reading the blogs and he realized that although his cereal is sitting behind the keyboard, he has not eaten any yet. I think I will go lay down and let him eat. He says he will probably be napping himself soon. |

Much Better
I tried waking Bob for attentions again this morning and he pulled me close to his side and gave me pets. *smile* |

Bad Bob
Bob was very bad this morning. I started my new routine of trying to get him to wake up and give me attentions every hour at 2 this morning and when I came up at 5, he swatted my butt and told me I had to let him sleep. *pout* |

Sleepy Pet
This morning Monika slept in later than usual. She usually gets up at about 4 and goes to the computer room to play her game, but Bob rolled over and woke up for a second and check the time to see how much longer he had to sleep. When he saw 5:50 he woke up Monika and told her to go play, so she could have some fun in her game before he had to work. I guess she was real tired. She never sleeps until 6. After she got up, Bob went back to sleep until 7. Some things never change. *laughs* |

A Queen's Morning
Queen Munchkin here, I decided to surprise Bob and Monika. I got on the bed and slept between Bob's feet for most of the night. It's the first time I have done so in months. Usually either Princess Boots, or Prince Frostin sleeps there. When Monika got up to take her meds and put our food dish back down, Prince Frostin jumped down from where he was sleeping next to Bob on the edge of the bed and headed for the kitchen. Then Bob heard Princess Boots out there too and got up to see who was between his feet. When he found out it was me, he picked me up and snuggled me under the covers with him and Monika. She takes her meds and goes back to sleep for an hour, because one med has to be taken an hour before she eats. I got bunches of pets and cuddles from both of them, then when I got too hot I went looking for the food dish. |

Scary Weather
We had thunders again last night and the lady on the TV says we might have more tonight. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready for the thunders to go away. I don't like loud noises like that, and the whole room lighting up from the flashes outside is scary too. *pout* |

Scary Thunder
Last night there was a real bad thunder storm here. Our power only went out for a few seconds, but about a mile away from us, people are waking up to no power and the power people say they hope to have everyones power back up by 7 am. Of course being very smart kitties, we all hid under the bed until the thunders stopped. |

King Of The Belly Toll
I may not be ready to take over as King of our Court, but Bob and Monika both say that I have always been King of the belly toll. *smile* |

Monika's Back
Monika's back home. We were all nervous when she first got here because she smelled of different kitties and we hadn't seen her in a while. Plus it was late so Bob had to go to bed and we didn't see him with her a lot. I decided I would lay on the bed and guard Bob while he slept, but then she came in and got me and gave me rockies and pets and my purr motor turned on. *smile* |

From Monika
MONIKA: Well I have returned home to a house without my beloved Obsidian. He is the one cat we have that would come with me to bed and lay to get attention next to me. This was a bit of a shock since he had improved the week before I left on vacation. I wish to thank all of you who have posted. It will take me abit of time to get over his loss but I am sure he is watching over us and will greet us once we ourselves pass from this world. hugs and purrs |
Court Intrigue
I talked it over with Queen Munchkin, and we decided that I am not ready to be King yet. King Obsidian's going to the bridge was very unexpected and they never had the time to train me to be a good ruler. Queen Munchkin said she will try her best to give me the proper training, and Princess Boots said she will help. Until they have completed my training I will remain Frostin the Jester Prince. *smile* |

Bad Human Sleeping Habits
I tried to get Bob to wake up at 4 this morning, but he said he wanted to sleep some more, so I tried again at 5 and 6, then he finally woke up when I tried at 7. He gave us our treats and put down the food for us, then he helped me read the blogs. When he asked me what I wanted to post though, I was ready for a nap, so he came and napped with me and then when he got up, only an hour later, he asked me what I wanted to post. I told him to post that humans sleep too late and need to learn to take longer naps, then I went back to my nap. from Bob; I just noticed that blogger is an hour behind me time wise. It's actually 9:03 here. |

Obsidian's Last Farewell
King Obsidian here; I'm in a good place now where I don't feel sick any more and even my trick knee that I had since I was a kitten doesn't bother me. Yesterday I was feeling very bad and cold. Bob was worried about me, so he took me to the vet and they put me in a special room that was very warm to try to bring my body temperature back up. They also took blood, pee and poo so they could check it while I was getting warmer. Then Bob came and told me that he had to go to work, but that he would come and get me in the morning. I wanted to go with him, but I knew that the people at the vet were trying to help me, so I didn't fuss too much. After Bob left I started hearing voices calling my name and saying it was time to come to my new home. Then all of a sudden I saw it. The rainbow bridge was coming into the cage and there were Gizi and Morton coming towards me and asking me to come with them so I could check on my family here and then play with them and all the other pets. I tried to get up, but my legs just hurt too much, then Gizi bumped heads with me and all of a sudden I felt healthy and strong again. I sat and watched my old home for a while and I could also see Monika with her Mom on their vacation. At home Frostin was looking all around the house trying to find me. I tried to tell him where I was, but I don't think he was ready to hear me yet. Then Bob finished his work and he called Monika to ask if she had heard from the vet and she told him that I was gone. He started to tear up and I tried to comfort him, but I think he is going to be teary for a little while. I know he misses me very much and he is sad because he wasn't with me when I went to the bridge. Goodbye my friends. Please don't mourn my passing too much, instead be glad in knowing that I will never feel sick or hurt again and that I am watching over all of you. |

Bad News
This is Bob Obsidian was despondent when I woke up this morning. I gave him his meds and fed him, but about 10 minutes later he threw up half of what I gave him, so I called the vet and brought him in. His body temp was low as were his fluids, so I left him with them hoping to pick him up in the morning. When I finished work I called Monika and she told me that the vet had called her and said that he passed away on his own this afternoon. The rest of the cats are still walking around looking for him off and on. I gave each one cuddles and tried to explain that he won't be coming back, but I know it will take them a while to understand. Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes, it meant a lot to us. Tomorrow I will post his goodbye. I meant to do it now, but I'm a bit of a wreck currently. I'm going to miss my little panther. |
Thank You
King Obsidian here; Thank you for all your kind words and all your purrs and purrayers. Bob talked to Monika on the phone yesterday and she suggested that he leave me alone for a bit after he gives me my meds, before trying to get me to eat. It's nice to have the reprieve, but I know that I am still not going to like being force fed, and I am not really hungry yet. |

He Found It
King Obsidian here; Bob went out and checked the car one more time last night and found the med hiding under the seat tucked in a corner by it's leg. The med is a appetite enhancer and he gave one to me last night, but so far it is not working. That means I get to be force fed after he gives me my meds again. Oh joy! NOT!!!!! *pout* |

Update
King Obsidian here; Bob went to the v-e-t this morning and got another med, some KD stinky goodness, and a bigger force feeding syringe. Lucky for me though he managed to loose the new med somewhere. I only get a one day reprieve though. He is going back tomorrow to get more. |

Bad Medicine?
Bob called the v-e-t today and told them that King Obsidian is not eating a lot since he started taking his new medicine. He told the person that answered the phone that he thinks the new medicine might be acting like an appetite suppressant. |

This & That
King Obsidian is not eating again. Monika put a old towel on the bed and she and Bob had to force feed him again. Bob will try getting him to eat on his own again later. Monika is leaving to go on a vacation with her Mom Today and wont be back until next week. Bob should have an interesting time of it, trying to force feed King Obsidian if he has to. |

More Meds, YUCK!!!
King Obsidian here; The vet called again yesterday. They got the rest of their tests back and found out that I have pancreatitis too. Monika had to bring me back to the vet when she got home from work and now I have another medicine that I have to take. *pout* |

Silly Visitors
Cocoa has taken to sneaking out the door when ever Bob or Monika tries to go in. This morning Bob picked her up and walked all around the house with her to give her the grand tour. Yesterday, while Bob was cleaning the litters, they both got into their box and were playing with the scoop. Bob was laughing as he tried to scoop it out. *smile* |
