New Treat

Munchkin here,

Chewy sent us a new treat to try. It's Purely Filets from Fancy Feast. They taste yummy, but Bob had to cut it into bite-size pieces for me because I have trouble when I try to eat something that big. We all liked it though. Even Ashlyn and Cosette had some and they don't usually like stuff that looks like human food.

16 paws way up!

New Litter

Bob here,

Chewy sent us a new litter to try out. It's Clean Paws from Fresh Step. I emptied one litter and filled it with the Clean Paws so I could monitor the difference form our old litter. First thing I noticed is that a lot less litter is tracked out of the box than with our regular, but our cats seem to prefer the old litter as the other litters see much more use than the one that I changed.  For Munchkins paw count I would guesstimate 6 out of 16 paws up.

Titan Follow Up

Titan here,

My new Foster Mom got me this nice sweater to keep warm after my surgery. I think I look pretty handsome in it.

Titanic Changes in The Life of a Kitty

Purrsia here,

In the 10 days since I last posted there have been some major changes in my life.

First Monika realized that the shelter had my sex wrong and I am actually a boy kitty, so she and Bob changed my name to Darius.

Next, I had my surgery and they found out I got my hernia because some mean person had kicked me and they caused some internal damage also, but the nice People at The Way Home that Bob and Monika foster for got me all fixed up and at the same time got me fixed.  That sound redundant to me, but I will take their word for it.

Then after my surgery, they moved me to a new foster parent that is also fostering a kitten that is about my age so we can both have a playmate that is our own size.

Then finally because of all the Titanic trouble I have already gone through in my short life, they decided to change my name again.  My new name is Titan.

Our New Foster Needs Help

Meet Purrsia,

Orange County Animal Services contacted our cat rescue and said they had a kitten with scabies and asked if we wanted to take her in. Of course, we went out and got her. We gave her the medicine she needed and the scabies are all but gone now, but the county neglected to tell us that she also has feline herpes and a hernia. We are taking care of her herpes also, but her hernia is going to cost a minimum of $800. The Vet said depending on how hard the surgery was it could cost up to $2000.

Below is the original post from our shelters Facebook;

Our sweet rescue PURRSIA, formally Carmen A397125, from @orangecountyanimalservices needs surgery to repair a bad ingunial hernia.
Her stomach is very distended because a portion of her intestines have slipped thru the muscle causing it to create a large lump.
Unfortunately she is fighting a bad URI and needs to recover before surgery.
She a fighter.... eating and drinking well as well as still lovable and even to playing some during her discomfort. If you can donate to her surgery we would be very grateful.
